Keanu: Kittens vs Thugs
This was by far the most fun project I’ve worked on so far (unless you consider writing dialogue for a talking pineapple in a Brisk ad fun). Before Jordan Peele’s horror career took off, there was Keanu. To tap into the whimsical, ridiculous tone of the comedy about a guy whose beloved kitten gets stolen by some thugs, we created a humorous video where kittens and “thugs” have a stare down. Silly? Yes. Bizarre? Definitely. But it worked - and Key and Peele even used the dialogue I wrote for their voiceover, which was one of the shining moments of my life.
